ABOUT THE INSTITUTE

The institute for mental care of adults	This institute which is called "Small bees" was founded on November 10, 1972. in Kragujevac. The inmates of the institute have already been under treatmant at some psychiatric hospital, but they are not ready to live with their family or they don't have it.
Here are also persons who because of their age cannot be put in the institute for mentally defective children. Inmates of this institute are put up into pavilions where they live and where social workers and medical staff work with them.	the terrace of the center
administration building	At the beginning there were four pavilions (430 beds) and in 1983 the institute capacity was enlarged, it was built the fifth pavilion. In this pavilion are put up those inmates who are so ill that they can't do everyday activities and who are sent by other institutions.
Today, after thirty years of the foundation of this institute, there are 948 inmates who are put up here.

Today this institute works under difficult circumstances. The institute's finances haven't been sound recently , so the building of the institute is pretty dilapidated which can be seen everywhere. [further]
